2013 - June 27th Meeting

The June 27th meeting was a success as far as getting all the blocks completed for the third service quilt. But before all the sewing action began the meeting started out with some show and tell.

Marsha brought in her completed star quilt...

and her vine flowers applique quilt.

Chris brought in a table runner,

and what would be a bed runner that she converted into a couch runner. Chris added some ties to the back of the runner and uses on her leather couch.

George even stopped by to pick up our third service quilt. George was telling the ladies on how well received the first quilt has been doing and all of the positive replies he has been getting from the families of his patrons.

Second service project completed.

As mentioned earlier the progress for our third service project has been well under way.

Progress on the Third service project

All attending to pull in together and completed all the available blocks. Great team work ladies!

Very little business was discussed. The one major business topic at the moment is for the next meeting, all members who want to participate in the Secret Sister Christmas Exchange please have your half yard ready if you all ready have not done so. We will be exchanging the bags with the half yard of fabric at the next meeting!  Also for the next meeting we will continue working on the third service project. Again please bring all supplies to complete this project.

Until next time...

Happy Quilting!
