Our May 23rd meeting was a productive meeting. First we do want to say thank you to all the ladies involved with making our second service project quilt. As shown above is the completed quilt top. We would also like to thank Chris Porter for being able to finish off the quilt with her long arm machine.
There was very little business to discuss except the passing out of the brown paper lunch bags for the Secret Sister Christmas exchange. If any member was unavailable to attend the May 23rd meeting and would still like to participate in the exchange please come to the next meeting with your half yard of fabric or contact Yvonne to receive a bag.
As for the rest of the meeting the ladies worked productively on accomplishing a third service quilt.
Every one worked diligently while having a good laugh or too in each others company. When the meeting was over the blocks were nearly assembled and what was left over to finish was left up to the attending member to take home to complete and then to bring back to the June 12th meeting. A quick announcement and reminder to our member that the June 12th meeting will be a short business meeting. IT is asked of any attending members to please bring your sewing machines, rotary cutter, cutting mats, iron, and ironing boards.
